- An iPhone with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone Pro models) for depth capture
- iOS 15.6 or later
- Camera and Motion permissions — both are required to record, and you can change them any time in Settings → GRID Navigator
Getting started
Try it without an account. Tap Continue in Demo Mode on the login screen. Capture runs entirely on your device; nothing is uploaded. Sign in to your organization. Tap Add GRID server and enter the server your GRID administrator gave you, then sign in. Accounts are provisioned by your organization — there is no public sign-up.Troubleshooting
Recording won’t start- Confirm Camera and Motion access are allowed in Settings → GRID Navigator.
- Depth capture needs a LiDAR-capable device; non-LiDAR iPhones can’t record depth.
- Move slowly and keep surfaces in view; fast turns lose tracking.
- Featureless walls and glass give the tracker little to lock onto — include more of the room.
- Uploading requires signing in to a GRID server. In Demo Mode it stays disabled by design, and captures remain on your device.
- If you are signed in and uploads still fail, check that your device can reach your organization’s GRID server, then contact support.
- Captures are written to the device. Delete sessions you’ve already uploaded from the session list to reclaim space.
