How a call travels
RemoteRobot defines on the client side (shutdown, monitor, session), which never reach the robot. What robot.front.getImage accepts is decided by the Go2 driver running on the robot, not by the client, which is why the reference is organised by robot. Connecting neither starts nor moves a robot. A method that fails on the robot arrives as RuntimeError naming the original error in its message, never as the original type.
Direct or staged? make_robot(name) is direct dispatch: each call is one round trip, right for a program that reads sensors and issues commands in a loop from your machine. make_robot(name, program=...) stages a @program graph to run on the robot itself; reach for it when a loop must not round-trip. Start with direct dispatch.
